costume shopping

these speak volumes for themselves.

i walked around the corner of the store and this is what i see first:

then...

i had no idea he had picked up these digs, he just came out of the dressing room like this. shocking. speechless.

don't worry, nothing was purchased.

five years ago!

so, i got to thinking that it is october of 2008, and matt and i started dating in october........of 2003. that sounds like a long time ago to me! i dug up a few pictures from october of 03, a few weeks after we had been dating-matt even had hair back then! :) i don't know how to use the scanner on our printer, so i took pictures of the pictures, but they are kinda blurry. i guess this is where my tech savvy-ness ends, and i post blurry pictures.

here is one of matt's many and frequent visits to my classroom our first year of teaching. he sure had a funny way of flirting...but 5 years later, would i expect anything less? of course not!

sweet hair, whitney. (that was matt's comment and i readily agreed)

matt and his hair in all it's glory

we thought these were pretty funny!

abigail on the move!

so some of these pictures are a little blurry, which just goes to prove my point even further! this little one is on the move! here are some things she is doing these days:

she dances to itunes that her daddy puts on, he knows all her favorites!

she pushes her school bus around or rides it around...or wants someone else to push her around on her bus!

she says "more! more!" in a really really cute high pitch voice, and "all done" with the wiping of her hands.

she opens doors, and gets mad if it is locked!

she cruises around...WALKS around everywhere, very sure-footed!

She is just way too cute and sooooooo happy. We love you, Abby girl!

It's tough being a Duck Fan

We went to the USC vs. Oregon game last night.
Highlights of the night:

meeting courtney and sean to tailgate! (they flew down from OR and we miss hanging out with them!)

first time in the LA Coliseum

the girls, me...lindsay (sean's sister)...court

matt and i

the crew...sean and court, matt and i, and linds and her boyfriend matt. her matt is a trojan fan, so my matt was covering his jersey for our picture :)

scoreboard in the first quarter

it's fun to watch football live

it started to rain, it was awesome!

the coliseum at night...i didn't know it was built for the olympics in the 40's, so cool!

the kids came with us, they stayed in the hotel while we were at the game. these dogs like to travel!

the non-highlights:
1. being booed by EVERYONE and their mother in a USC jersey (including matt getting booed by a 3 year old, now that was funny!)
2. the second, third, and fourth quarters of the game.
3. the outdoor techno party adjacent to our hotel until 4 in the morning. literally our walls were shaking. it sucked.
4. while walking from our hotel to get dinner after the game, a homeless woman on the street offered matt a sexual favor in exchange for a cheeseburger. no joke, how gross is that?

We'll get 'em next time, Ducks!

Hades

It has been as hot as hades here! how bout that simile for ya? (I just had to look up 'hades' to remind myself where that saying came from) If you'd like to know, I'd be happy to tell you, but I will forgo the definition and spare you! Anyway, back to the original intention of this post...I got in my car yesterday after school (the 30th of September) and my breath was taken away with how hot it was in my car. I can't touch my steering wheel or my seatbelt buckle for at least 5 minutes. I proceed to look up at my fancy schmancy digital sucker that tells me the temperature and what direction I am facing, only to see this:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I now know 2 things, I am parked facing South and it is hotter than hell right now. I promptly pulled out my camera phone to get proof my car was actually saying this. While obviously, it was sitting in direct sunlight and it wasn't really 124 degrees outside, I had never seen anything so ridiculous in my life! It was hot ENOUGH to even register that reading on the last day of September! Goodness gracious people, I can't possibly dress any cooler at work without being inappropriate. Please help all of us in San Diego and do your rain dance!
